The Importance of Customer Service

One principle that many business owners fail to instill in everyone who deals with clients is the fact that the customer is often equally as valuable as given employee. All personal and sentimental attachments aside, there are always people looking for work but customers generally have a choice as to who they do business with and many of their decision are going to be based on the level of customer service you provide. Your sales people need to be tenacious, attentive, friendly, knowledgable and always able to improvise when something unexpected comes up. These skills are not only important to retaining business, but solid communication and consistently delivering on what the customer needs can lead to opportunities for a good salesperson to up-sell or cross-sell if a relationship of trust and respect is already established.
