One of the biggest changes the business community has seen over the last decade is that the consumer has become almost entirely mobile. This is good news for small businesses since platforms such as television and radio (which they couldn’t afford) are becoming less valuable compared to the rise of mobile marketing.Customers are spending more and more time on their tablets and smartphones and less on PCs and in front of the television. New research shows that roughly half of local businesses are devoting an average of 20% of their advertising budget on mobile marketing, including text messaging, mobile banners, email, paid search, mobile videos and proximity campaigns. With this abundance of affordable options, there is no good reason not to hop on the bandwagon.
