Ever since the 90s, the Internet and its various search engines have been doing wonders for small businesses all over the world.  It has become the de facto way of drawing potential customers to your small business.

The downside is that it’s a two-way street.  Anyone can say virtually anything they want without being held the least bit accountable.  This not only goes for celebrities and the latest smartphone technology, but your business as well.  When someone performs a search for your business, it can be a major problem if they find slanderous and negative comments topping the results list, rather than your official website.  You don’t have to be a captain of industry to know it’s a lousy way to introduce yourself to a would-be customer.  The good news is that you can fight fire with fire.
